Junior Explorers And Miners Get Government Boost At International Event
The Andrews Labor Government recognises the importance of the junior exploration and miners to the resources sector and the businesses that depend on its growth and success.
The Labor Government is supporting the growth of the resources sector by helping junior exploration and mining companies to promote their projects at the International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC).
The Government will provide financial support to priority junior exploration and mining companies with market capitalisation of less than $50 million to attend the IMARC event. A key fixture on the global mining calendar and the leading conference for the Asia Pacific region, the second annual conference will be held 9-13 November 2015 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The Conference is expected to attract more than 3,000 attendees from over 35 countries and provides a unique opportunity for businesses to explore and forge new relationships in the mining sector to grow their business and promote their capability in the mining sector internationally.
As exhibitors, junior explorers and miners will be able to showcase their projects to investors, see what the latest the mining sector has to offer and make the necessary connections to access capital, markets and the latest technology and innovations.
Up to $1,500 in funding will be provided to companies that are registered and based in Victoria towards exhibiting at IMARC. For interstate companies operating in Victoria and elsewhere, up to $2,000 will be provided towards exhibiting at IMARC.
The resources sector is a global driver for many of the Government’s priority sectors including professional services, advanced manufacturing and international education.
