Boosting Youth Esteem One Selfie At A Time
A new smartphone app launched today by Minister for Youth Affairs, Jenny Mikakos, will help young Victorians to boost their self-esteem and confidence.
Ms Mikakos joined the app’s developer, the Reach Foundation, and students from Bendigo South East College at the Reach Foundation’s Collingwood headquarters today.
The Myinspo App was made possible through a $100,000 grant from the Victorian Government.
The app, which can be downloaded for free from the App Store, helps people under 18 to make safe and positive online connections with family, friends and the wider community.
Young people can use the app to record their personal achievements by sharing photos, images and reflections.
The Reach Foundation was created in 1994 by the late Jim Stynes and Australian filmmaker Paul Currie to get young people to believe in themselves and get the most out of life.
